Is Ashley furniture store a good place to buy furniture and is it affordable or expensive?

what are some other furniture stores that is really good and affordable?
In the industry Ashley is known to be a provider of mid to lower end furniture with lower to medium price points. As far as if they are a good store or not you need to check with people who have bought from them in your area like friends, family, and co workers. Also check out the BBB in your specific area because Ashley store are independently owned and are part of a franchise. So your answer would not reflect necessarily your Ashley store in your city.
Ashley is expensive. Find a furniture discounter or one that offers something in your price range. Stay away from places that offer in-house financing….they markup to cover the costs of financing. I work for a furniture manufacturer…retailers markup 150-200% of cost….. find a mom and pop cash and carry furniture store. They have lower costs so they have less markups and that spells savings for you.

im not sure where you are from but Ashley furniture has an outlet as well.I dont think Ashley is cheap at all! I really like Rooms to Go and the Roomstore because they have the whole room already set up and im horrible at decorating. Also, rooms to go has an outlet. Good luck!

Okay, I don’t know where the other respondents come from but Ashley is not expensive. I bought a POS couch there for $299. It all depends on what you’re looking for. Ashley just doesn’t feel like quality pieces to me so I chose to shop elsewhere but if you’re looking for a cheapy sofa then go for it- otherwise you’d be just as good or better off going to Ikea. We’ve found them to be very affordable but the quality ranges from poor (a couch we bought there) to extremely good and durable (a couple of recliners we bought there). We’ve always been able to negotiate an excellent discount for declining the in house financing.

I bought from them once. The quality is just like other big brands and they provide free shipping. This is a manufacturer-owned brand. So, their price is pretty good.
The only drawback is that they don’t have everything. They specialize in accent furniture.
