A large family would not be comfortable with a small table for two in the café style. A second thing to consider is the comfort of the people who will be using the furniture. Think about how annoying it would be for a person of large size to have to slide out of a corner booth every time they sat down for a meal. But if you have several small children then the corner booth setup would be good because the adults could sit on the outside and have the children slide in and out.
